Veterinarians

Dr. Amy Clemons

Dr. Clemons is the owner of Airport Road Animal Clinic. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 2008 and received her Masters degree in Biology from the University of Central Florida in 2004.

Dr. Clemons is the owner of Airport Road Animal Clinic. Dr. Clemons has a special interest in Animal Behavior and Dermatology. She has two dogs, two birds, and six fish. Dr. Clemons’ interests include watching Gator football, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and children.

Dr. Jennifer Breder Pruitt

Dr. Pruitt graduated with her DVM degree in 2004 from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Pruitt graduated with her DVM degree in 2004 from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine. She was born in Miami, Florida and began working for Airport Road Animal Clinic in August of 2006. Dr. Pruitt has a special interest in veterinary dentistry. She owns one cat and four dogs (a doberman, two labradors and a dachshund). Dr. Pruitt’s interests include enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with her children.

Dr. Kirstyn McCormick

Dr. McCormick graduated with her DVM degree in 2018 from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. McCormick completed her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Florida in 2013, prior to marrying her husband, Benjamin, and moving to Ocala. She then received her doctorate from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, fulfilling her lifelong dream of practicing veterinary medicine. Dr. McCormick’s special interests include fear free veterinary methods, surgery and nutrition. She loves spending time with her family, watching her kids grow up and volunteering with local youth outreach organizations.

Dr. Amy Stone

Dr. Stone graduated with her DVM degree in 1999 and her PhD in 2002 from the University of Florida. Her research interests are in immunology and vaccinology.

She is now the Service Chief of the Outpatient Medicine and Dentistry Service in the Small Animal Hospital of the University of Florida as well as working part-time at Airport Road Animal Clinic. Dr. Stone’s personal interests include enjoying the outdoors and biking.

Dr. Meghan Abbott

Dr. Megan Barr

Dr Barr graduated with her DVM degree from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.

Dr Barr received her doctorate from the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. She has special interest in feline medicine, geriatric and pallative care and is Fear Free certified. Dr Barr enjoys competing her horses in eventing and spending time on her farm with family and pets. She has 4 horses, 4 dogs, 9 cats, a rooster and 2 fish tanks.

Tracy has been with Airport Road Animal Clinic since January 2000. She currently has 1 dog and many chickens. Native to the area, when not at work she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, decorating, traveling, cooking, and shopping.

Deb

Deb started working at the clinic as a receptionist in October of 2003. Deb is married with one son. She has two Dachshunds, and a standard poodle. She also has one parrot; an African Grey. Deb also enjoys her four horses: three Arabians and a Quarter Horse.

Candace

Candace joined our team in 2018, she has a dog named Violet and she likes shopping and going to the beach.

Catherine has returned to our Reception team! After working in the equine field for the past year. On her free time she likes to barrel race and spend time with her horses. She also likes to visit new places with her family and friends.

Bridget

Bridget joined our team in 2022. She has lived all over the United States, and just recently moved to Ocala all the way from Hawaii! She enjoys spending time with her family and crazy dogs - including her big shortie bull Amos pictured here!

Cheryl started here in 2002. She enjoys working in the laboratory and assisting doctors during surgery. Cheryl has interests in emergency surgery and critical care. She has two Dobermans named Ruger and Hannibal, and two Chihuahuas named GiGi and Ditto. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Brenda

Brenda began working here in 2001. She enjoys working in the laboratory assisting doctors during exams, taking radiographs, and ordering all medical supplies for the clinic. She owns dogs, a cat, and a Macaw.

Michal has been with our veterinary technician team since 2015. She is a certified technician. She enjoys spending time with her family and her many household pets.

Roni joined out team in 2021. She enjoys spending time with her family and many household pets, especially her Persian cat named Purrl and Chihiahu Mix named Jack (er Snackers). Roni specialized in exotics and loves assisting doctors in dental procedures.

Kendal joined our team in 2022. She enjoys spending time with friends, and is currently enrolled in undergrad with hopes to enter veterinary school in a few years. Kendal often helps in the laboratory to assist doctors with appointments.

Amanda joined our team in 2021. She enjoys spending time with her friends and Bull terrier! Amanda will be attending the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in the fall of 2022.

Catlynn

Catlynn has been working at Airport Road since late 2017. She started in our kennel facility and now is a veterinary technician. Catlynn owns a variety of pets.

She had a dog named Duke, 11 chickens, 4 snails, 13 fish, a crawfish, and a gecko named Ziggy. She spends most of her spare time loving and caring for her little farm.

Jenna

Jenna joined our team in 2021. She enjoys spending her time outdoors, with family, and with her dog Kai! Jenna also works part-time at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital Emergency Department. Her specialty is hard to handle animals.

Kristen

Kristen originally started working here in 2005. In 2006, Kristen relocated to Georgia to start a family and further her degree in Business, and in 2011 she rejoined our team as a Veterinary Technician.

She currently only works with us part time as she now works full time at the University of Florida Emergency Clinic here in town. Kristen has two dogs; Bella and Joker, and a horse named Sweet. While away from work Kristen enjoys spending time with her family.

Michael joined our team in 2019! He enjoys spending time with his friends and is enrolled at the College of Central Florida. Michael is one of the head kennel technicians over the weekends!

Brooke

Brooke joined our team in 2022. Brooke enjoys spending time with her family and numerous crazy dogs! She primarily works in the kennel, but often spends time in the laboratory training with some of our veterinary technicians.

Keely

Keely is Dr. Clemon's French Bulldog. Once a show dog, Keely now spends her time helping her mom run the clinic and trying to eat all the treats and toenails she possibly can. While your pet is here, you can often find Keely peeking around the exam room door in search for her mom.

Finnegan

Finnegan, often called Finn, is Dr. Pruitt's French bulldog! While at work, Finn spends most of his time taking naps underneath his dog bed. But, when at home, Finn loves to zoom around the house and rile up the other dogs!

Tiny

Tiny is Dr. Barr's 18 year old Fox Terrier. Tiny graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine at just 17 years of age - impressive!

Woody

Woody is Emily's Chihuahua mix! He if full of energy and loves spending time with his sister Harmony; but be careful, Woody only likes a select few people.

Harmony

Harmony is Emily's lab mix! In the summer of 2021, Harmony was supposedly hit by a train and rushed to the clinic on emergency. After numerous surgeries, Harmony is now living her best 3-legged life chasing around lizards and hanging out with her Jack Russel companion.

SAM-e

SAMe is Dr. Stone and Dr. Howe's greyhound! As a young puppy SAMe trained to be a race dog. But, after fracturing her elbow at a young age, SAMe now lives the retired lifestyle of chasing squirrels around Ocala!

Kai

Kai is Jenna's lab mix. Kai was adopted from the Humane Society of North Central Florida in January of 2021, and now spends his days traveling Florida with his shades on!

Walter

Walter is Amanda's American Bull Terrier! Walter spends most days trying to eat anything he can find, playing soccer, and sleeping in awkward positions. Walter will be enrolled at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine at just 1 year of age!

Johnny Cash

Johnny Cash is Dr. Barr's American Pit Bull! You can find Johnny Cash sliding across the clinic floor on a blanket, as he refuses to let his little feet touch hard floor.

Nana

Nana is Dr. Clemons Amazon parrot who lives here at Airport Road Animal Clinic! At 31 years of age, and otherwise known as "chicken", you can often hear Nana making obscure noises while your pet is here getting examined.
