Ocala veterinary services – delivered with courtesy and respect!

As a new client of our Animal Clinic in Ocala, you can expect our full attention to your pet’s needs.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly by our friendly receptionist staff. At that time they will check you in for your appointment and get you set up to fill out a brief new client information sheet to become established in our record system. They will then review your pet’s previous medical records if you brought any. We are a paperless clinic and operate solely on our computer system and will return all of your pet’s previous medical records to you. When complete, a veterinary technician will usher you into an examination room.

The veterinary technician taking care of you will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit. This allows them to gather information needed for the doctor’s purposes. Before the technician informs the doctor that your pet is ready to be seen they will perform complimentary nail trims if needed and certain lab work.

Then one of our veterinarians will examine your pet. A full examination checks your pet’s eyes, ears, lymph nodes, skin, heart rate, lungs, abdomen, joints, and hips. The doctor may ask you further questions and then may recommend diagnostic tests if needed after the exam. Our clinic is equipped with an in-house laboratory where most tests can be completed. Once the tests have been run, your doctor will discuss a possible diagnosis and treatment plan if warranted.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information and treatment we’re providing.

The veterinary technician will come back to wrap things up once the doctor is completed. They will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer any wellness and care questions you have. You will be directed to the front desk where a receptionist will process your payment and schedule a follow up appointment if needed.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible. You are welcome as a new client to arrive a few minutes early for your appointment to ensure enough time to fill out new client information.
